Munkácsy exhibition extended at Móra Ferenc Museum

Due to high interest, the Munkácsy exhibition at the Móra Ferenc Museum will be extended until February 2, 2025.

The extension was announced on Tuesday, October 15, when the exhibition welcomed its 30,000th visitor. The lucky visitors were a couple from Hajdúszoboszló. It was their first visit to Szeged, where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple received a Munkácsy gift bag containing souvenirs connected with the exhibition: a notepad, a mug, a key ring, a magnet, the exhibition catalog, and a small canvas painting.

The museum stated in a press release that the 30,000 visitors are a good indication of the exhibition's success, not only in summer but also in fall, showing that many people are curious to see Munkácsy's impressive works. Weekends remain the busiest time of the year when guided tours are also offered.
