Halloween at the Kövér Béla Puppet Theater

The Kövér Béla Puppet Theater awaits young and old with exciting Halloween programs on Sunday, October 29, and Monday, October 30, 2023.

"Count Dracula's hideout, i.e. the Kövér Béla Puppet Theatre, will be open to all blood types on Sunday, October 29" reads the Puppet Theater's press release. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Dracula's servants — the actors of the theater — await everyone interested with lots of family games, tests of courage, blood songs, and more. Brave visitors can peek into the count's rooms and observe what he selectively collects.

On October 30, within the framework of the theater's How old is the captain? series and as part of the 27th Autumn Cultural Festival, Barboncás Társulat will perform the UN-DEAD - A Deadly Play, recommended for adults only. The performance evokes Béla Lugosi, who died more than 60 years ago, using various puppetry techniques.

In nine exciting animated pictures, we can get to know Lugosi's life, while the puppeteer — in the role of death — peels off the roles of the summoned figure. The play was written by Andrea Vészits and will be performed by Ágnes Kiss, the director of the puppet theater.
