Szeged International Airshow 2022
Szeged International Airshow 2022 takes place on September 9-10-11, at the Airport of Szeged. As in previous years, the 3-day event starts with an evening dedicated to a spectacular light show. This year, CollMot Entertainment will paint light on the night sky with drones.
Saturday's program offers air shows of star pilots from more than 10 countries, like the German national aerobatic champion and regular participant of the Szeged International Airshow, Dr. Martin Graef, or the Italian aerobatic pilot and instructor Luca Salvadori with the Silver Chicken. This year the gliders of the Austrian Red Bull Blanix-Team join the event too with their incredible mirror flight - a challenging show performed very rarely by gliders.
Another regular guest of the event, Polish Marek Choim, is one of the few pilots who add pyrotechnics to their aerobatics. Next to the international guests, Hungarian stars, including world champion air racer Péter Besenyei, will also show their skills. Sunday is all about helicopters, with breathtaking stunts by the Austrian aerobatic team The Flying Bulls, among others.
The 2022 program also includes an L-29 Delfin jet fighter, formation flying, skydiving, Li-2 veteran passenger plane, Gripen fighter jets with static and dynamic show elements, and many more. Food stalls and kids' activities complete the all-day entertainment.
Tickets can be bought online and on-site. The event is free for visitors under the age of 14.
Szeged Airport is easily accessible by bicycle and car, although parking can get difficult and overcrowded on these three days. There is a free bus service (R1) during the event, for the timetable and route, click here.
