The University of Szeged organizes the Miklós Radnóti Memorial Day every year on May 5, the poet's birthday. During the 2022 event, professors, students, actors, librarians, musicians, employees of the Móra Ferenc Museum, and other participants read all of Radnóti's poems in front of the Rector's Office from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. continuously.

This year, a memorial walk in the city, an exhibition with SZTE-inspired paintings, and a documentary about Radnóti were also part of the program.

The Miklós Radnóti Memorial Day is part of the University Spring festival at SZTE.

Miklós Radnóti (1909-1944) was a Hungarian poet and teacher, and a former SZTE student. He was murdered during the Holocaust.
