Tisza River documentary screening at American Corner Szeged

Environmentalists selecting plastic bottles removed from the Tisza River

American Corner Szeged, the US Embassy Budapest & PET Kupa invites everyone interested for an eye-opening movie screening about the plastic pollution of the Tisza River.

A Q&A session with Gergely Hankó, founding member of PET Kupa, and Jonas D. Stewart, Counselor for Public Affairs of the US Embassy Budapest, will also be part of the event.

“The Tisza River is one of Europe's most heavily polluted rivers by plastic, and we wish to raise awareness on the magnitude of this problem and generate discussions on the way to join forces and act for a healthier environment.”

The program takes place on March 22 - World Water Day - from 5 p.m., at American Corner Szeged.
