European Mobility Week in Szeged
Szeged joined the European Mobility Week again.
Szeged Transport Company offers free rides this week. From Monday, September 16 to Sunday, September 22, as part of the European Mobility Week, two adults and three children - the latter up to the age of 18 - can travel on local public transport in Szeged with a valid permit for one car, as the permit serves as a pass, the company announced on Facebook.
Epam Systems held a Bike Breakfast, a returning program in the last few years, this morning between 7:30 and 9:30 in front of the company's Szeged headquarters on Felső Tisza part. Passing cyclists were offered a recyclable textile bag in which they could choose a breakfast of apples, bananas, granola bars, and pastries to reward their green commute efforts.
The next Bike Breakfast of the week will be held tomorrow by the University of Szeged at the József Attila Education and Information Center (TIK). On Wednesday morning, between 7:30 and 10:00, cyclists will be greeted with granola bars, fruits, and tea at the TIK Café. With the help of the Urban Legends bike shop staff, cyclists can have a bike checkup here between 9:00 and 14:00.
European Mobility Week is held every year from September 16 to 22, culminating in the Car-Free Day. Szeged joined the initiative more than 20 years ago.
