First 25 pilots announced for this year's Szeged International Airshow

The organizers announced the first 25 pilots and shows for this year's Szeged International Airshow, to be held on September 13-14, 2024.

For years, the Airshow has presented its audience with numerous domestic and international pilots, world-famous shows and formations, and this year will be no different, reads the organizers' statement. "In September, Szeged will be the 'capital' of aerial attractions, and it is a great pleasure for us that this event attracts more and more visitors yearly," said Viktor Knezevics, managing director of Szeged Transport Ltd.

World-famous pilots and teams, such as Aero Wasp, Aerobatic Yakers, Péter Besenyei, L-29 Delfin, Drónshow, Skydivers, Flying Dragons, Glider FX, Pál Hársfalvi ACROFOX, Jet Marchetti S-211, Jurgis Kairys, Marek Choim, MI-2 Helicopter aerobatics, MIG-15 Formation, Retro Sky Team, Silver Chicken, DAC 1930 Club, The Victors, Fireworks/Kvant Laser, and Gyula Vári, among others, will captivate the spectators this year at the event.

In addition to announcing the first names, the organizers added that they are preparing for the closing day of the event with a bigger and more spectacular night show, surpassing last year's program, and already on Friday evening, a night program studded with spectacular elements will impress the visitors.

The 25th FAI Hot Air Balloon World Championship will also be held during this period, so Szeged Airport will host two outstanding events at the same time. Therefore, this year, as a novelty, the programs and visitor area of the Szeged International Airshow will be moved to the north-western side of the airport – known as Maty-ér – to make it even easier, more comfortable, and safer for visitors to admire the shows and the balloons.

The Szeged International Airshow is organized by Szeged Transport Ltd. Tickets for SZIA can be purchased at www.tixa.hu. More info and regular updates will be available on the event's Facebook page.
