Foundation for Szeged summer programs at Wagner Udvar

Gábor Székó’s Garden in the Garden exhibition opened the summer program series organized by the Foundation for Szeged at Wagner Udvar last Saturday.

The sculptures featured in the recently opened exhibition at Wagner Udvar, one of Szeged’s most picturesque courtyards, are inspired by Japanese gardens and bonsai. Székó used iron, wood, limestone, and plants, to create his artworks. The exhibition was opened by art historian Dr. Anna Váraljai and percussionist Márton Szives.

The Foundation for Szeged has organized summer programs at the Mediterranean courtyard, housing the foundation’s office, since 2017. The 2024 summer programs include:

– Concert of pianist and composer Attila Blaho on July 11, starting at 18:00

– Concert by students majoring in guitar at the SZTE Béla Bartók Faculty of Arts on July 17, starting at 18:00

– Concert of pianist and composer György Klebniczki on July 25, starting at 18:00

Gábor Székó’s Garden in the Garden exhibition will be displayed at Wagner Udvar until August 21. All the above programs, as well as the exhibition, are free to visit.
