Sándor Horváth has been appointed as the new director of Continental's Szeged factory from February 1, 2024, the company informed Szegedify in a press release.

Sándor Horváth took over the position of director of the Szeged factory from his predecessor, Sven Meier. The new factory manager started his career as an intern at the Szeged site, then joined Continental's team as a technologist in 2007, and two years later as a production manager. After that, he worked as an operations and process development manager. Between 2022 and 2023, he performed global tasks as process development manager of Continental's belt industry. He returned to Szeged in 2023 as the operational director of the company's hose plant.

"Nothing proves my commitment to our community better than the fact that I strive to support the company's success with the greatest possible precision and maximalism. In addition, I deeply believe in the importance of mutual respect: we should treat others as we would expect to be treated. Along this spirit, we must continue to build the fruitful relationships we have experienced in the past with every one of our colleagues, including the staff of our advocacy organizations. To continue to improve the results of our Szeged factory despite the current challenges, these are all essential" — said the new director.

Sándor Horváth's predecessor, Sven Meier, headed the technology company's Szeged factory from June 1, 2020. After the end of his assignment in Hungary, from January 1, 2024, he holds the position of factory director of Continental's Vinnhorst plant.
