New Year's Eve celebrations in Szeged
Szeged is set to celebrate New Year's Eve with a variety of events, including a free outdoor program at Széchenyi Square and exclusive ticketed parties at JATE Klub and Törpe Tető, among others. Here's what’s in store for the night:
Free Outdoor Program at Széchenyi Square
The heart of the city will come alive with music, fireworks, and joy at Széchenyi Square. The festivities kick off at 19:00 with a lively warm-up DJ set, followed by a performance by Folk Roses at 21:00. At 23:00, Roy Galeri takes the stage, setting the perfect tone for the countdown to midnight.
As the clock strikes midnight, the sky will light up with a breathtaking fireworks display at City Hall. The celebration continues as Roy Galeri returns for another set at 00:15. Closing the night is Útközband, a festival favorite in Szeged, who will keep the energy going with their dynamic performance starting at 01:00. This program is free and open to everyone.

JATE Klub New Year's Eve Party
Starting at 21:00, JATE Klub will host an exciting NYE celebration featuring multiple music rooms and an after-party running from 04:30 to 08:00. Performers include G3RIX, GABRO, MARSIMO, NACSABENCE, UCCU, and the 999 KOLLEKTÍV.
Early bird tickets are sold out, but advance tickets and door sales are still available. Guests arriving before midnight will also enjoy a complimentary welcome drink. Holders of the SZTE Student, Employee, or Alma Mater card are eligible for a discount on the entrance ticket. The JATE Klub party awaits guests with a vibrant lineup of contemporary and popular music, ensuring an energetic and unforgettable night.
Törpe Tető: "Mindscapes: NEW YEAR'S EVE"
Törpe Tető, located seven stories high in downtown Szeged, offers a unique venue for NYE festivities. Beginning at 21:00, the event will feature performances by Bellegance ＆ Fraser, Soulsticker, and sco:rp, immersing guests in a captivating blend of Ethno, Deep, Organic, Tribal, and Progressive sounds throughout the night.
In addition to the music, Törpe Tető provides an unparalleled vantage point to view the city’s midnight fireworks. The entrance ticket includes a glass of champagne at midnight.
