Theater Olympics continues in Szeged with Tengerhab Gyereknap puppet festival

The 10th International Theater Olympics continues in Szeged next weekend with a 3-day event called "Tengerhab Gyereknap". The festival takes place in front of the Móra Ferenc Museum between May 26-28 and features both Hungarian and international performances.

The event's title — Tengerhab Gyereknap — literally translates to Seafoam Kid's Day and refers to the festival being held on International Children's Day, May 28. Tengerhab Gyereknap is part of the World Festival of Puppets, a three-month-long event series accompanying the 2023 Theater Olympics.

World Festival of Puppets, organized by the Association of Hungarian Puppet Artists, features 332 programs by 53 foreign, 57 domestic, and 7 cross-border productions including puppet and street theater performances, workshops, and exhibitions that are held in Budapest and 12 other cities countrywide.
