Föllakzoid performs at Grand Café Szeged
Föllakzoid, a dominant formation of the contemporary psychedelic scene, will perform at Grand Café Szeged on November 1, 2023.
The Chilean band is well-known on the international scene, having previously performed at the Primavera Sound in Barcelona, the Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands, and Roskilde in Denmark. In Hungary, they played on the A38 ship in Budapest and performed at the Ozora Festival.
Föllakzoid is currently on a European tour and will perform in Hungary exclusively at the Grand Café in Szeged.
The journey of Föllakzoid started when two childhood friends started playing trance music together in Santiago, Chile. Over the years, they incorporated the ancient music of the Andes, as well as contemporary experiments into their music and created their unique, richly layered, yet minimalistic style.
In recent years, the band's live performance, which boldly experiments with instrumental-electronic sounds and trance-inducing rhythms, has been interwoven with audiovisual elements that hypnotically show the queer and trans identities of the project's leader, Domingæ.
On the last two records, the musical world that developed from initial krautrock improvisational impulses and jam sessions took a new direction by incorporating the most exciting moments of electronic music, repetition, minimalism, and the contemporary techno scene.
After the concert, Cord and vj Rat will continue the transflow. The organic technoid psychedelia will be accompanied by experimental, live visuals synchronized to music.
