International Coffee Day at SZTE

International Coffee Day coffee fiesta is part of the 26th Autumn Cultural Festival of the University of Szeged and takes place on Thursday, September 29, at the Rector's Office entrance on Dugonics Square.

International Coffee Day was set up to celebrate the coffee sector's diversity, passion, and dedication to quality. Its purpose is to highlight and support the work of coffee farmers all over the world, advocate the fair trade of coffee, and educate consumers. In 2022, the main goal is to head towards sustainability by moving the coffee sector from a linear to a circular economy.

While International Coffee Day is on October 1, many countries celebrate the day of coffee on different dates.

At the university's coffee fiesta, those interested can observe the coffee-making process and taste some coffee. Participants are kindly asked to bring their own cups if possible.

The sponsor of the event is Coffee Bud, a local coffee roastery.

Date: Thursday, September 29, 9:00 - 12:00

Location: Rector's Office entrance, Dugonics Square 13.

Attendance: free

Note: The language of the festival is Hungarian. Szegedify will publish news about those programs of the 26th Autumn Cultural Festival that are not necessarily language-dependent like concerts, exhibitions, dance programs, etc. For regular updates, be sure to follow us on Instagram or Facebook.
