Contemporary music meets sand painting at the 26th SZTE Autumn Cultural Festival
Contemporary music meets sand painting during SZTE's 26th Autumn Cultural Festival on Wednesday, November 9. Samodai-Szives Duo will perform contemporary Hungarian trumpet-percussion works while graphic artist Katalin Matild Nagy will paint with sand simultaneously, displaying a visual story that reflects on the music.

Samodai-Szives Duo constantly works together with composers so that new pieces can be created. Their showcases pieces written for them, from improvisational style to the works of the most prominent contemporary authors, with which they can demonstrate the musical possibilities of the trumpet and percussion instruments.
Katalin Matild Nagy is a graphic artist and a member of the National Association of Hungarian Artists. She fills her works with rich content and regularly performs alongside choirs, symphony orchestras, and philharmonic orchestras with her live sand drawing compositions. She is a regular participant in domestic and foreign exhibitions.
