Saint Francis Day Charity Picnic ended with success

The Saint Francis Day Charity Picnic, held on October 2 at Mátyás Square Szeged, was a success - organizers announced on social media.

The returning event is organized by Szia Coffee and members of the local community - individuals, families, and companies - each year. According to the event's organizers, this year's picnic had over 1500 visitors, and the food cooked by the volunteering participants raised a six-digit donation amount. The entire amount goes to the Franciscan Monastery's soup kitchen at Mátyás Square to help finance their costs.

The accompanying blood donation was also successful, the medical team invited to the event had to work overtime with the nearly 50 blood donors wanting to help.
