The Japanese Film Festival Online 2022 will be available to watch in Hungary for free between February 14-27.

The Japanese Film Festival (JFF), an event organized by the Japan Foundation, aims to share Japanese cinema with the world. One part of this project is the Japanese Film Festival Online 2022. During the online festival, 20 selected Japanese films will be available to watch for free in 25 countries, including Hungary.

In its debut year in 2021, JFF Online registered more than 210,000 views worldwide. In the middle of the pandemic, with cinemas closed down and other restrictions in place in many countries, streaming the festival online was a huge success, according to the organizers.

The festival lineup this year includes dramas, documentaries, historical films, animations, a classical film, a comedy, and a thriller.

During the two weeks of the JFF Online 2022, all films in the lineup will be available to watch with English or Hungarian subtitles.
