The Szeged International Airshow (SZIA), held for the 8th time at the Szeged Airport, begins tomorrow. One of the most prestigious air parades in the country will feature show elements never before seen in Hungary.

Attractions you shouldn't miss at this year's Szeged International Airshow

A show never seen in Hungary

The Swiss ex-Breitling team member Danielle Wingwalker comes with a show never before seen in Hungary and will walk on a Boeing Stearman double-decker plane in the air. Danielle will present one of the most popular stunts of the 20s, as she will dance and walk around the airplane while it is performing in the air.

A newer and bigger light show at night

As part of the light show at night, the AeroSPARX aerobatics team returns to Szeged with their world-famous show featuring Grob ultralight planes, LEDs, and fireworks. The Slovak team Detonics will come with a unique pyrotechnics show — a novelty in Szeged. The evening will be closed by last year's successful drone show.

International pilots and world-famous productions in Szeged

There will be international productions already on the first day, including Luca Salvadori with his custom-built aerobatics plane, the Silver Chicken, as well as the Hawks of Romania, a 5-plane aerobatics team. The program also includes the Ocovski Bacovia Blanix Team with 4 oldtimer gliders, and Marek Choim will also dazzle the audience with his EXTRA 330-SC plane.

Hungarian favorites in the airspace

The two YAK-52s of Flyby Aero Kft. and the multiple aerobatic champion, Gyula Vári, will also be here to fly with his new YAK-55 plane. Péter Besenyei arrives with his Corvus Racer and Gergő Urbán with a dynamic production, with his Ka-26 helicopter. On Saturday, among others, visitors can see the retro LI-2, which is the only working plane of its type in the world. RivAirShow brings the T-28 Trojan, an American training plane of which there is only one in Hungary.

The sky is only yours!

Due to increased demand, this year a whole day is dedicated to sightseeing flights. Visitors can fly with five different planes, thus satisfying all needs.
