2023 SZIN Festival sum-up with photo gallery

As usual, the Szeged Youth Days — Szegedi Ifjúsági Napok, or simply SZIN — ended the summer music festival season in Hungary. The 2023 Coca-Cola SZIN, one of the biggest music festivals in Hungary, was a blast, according to the organizers.

"The trend of recent years shows that there is not simply a demand for SZIN, but the number of our visitors has been increasing for years," said Erika Kolonics, chief organizer of the festival. She also added that the passes for the 2023 Coca-Cola SZIN were already sold out last year, which, in her opinion, means that the audience doesn't just come to SZIN for one concert, they want to experience every moment of the festival.

According to Kolonics, there are several reasons for this, and many years of conscious development are behind it. "Although we were 55 years old this year, we started on the real development path 20 years ago, when the SZIN started its so-called third era, which has currently reached the point where we are considered the biggest end-of-summer event in the domestic market".

Apart from the end-of-summer vibe and the plethora of concerts, for one lucky guy a huge catch made the end of SZIN really memorable. During the festival, the organizers created a "fishing pond" with a surface area of 1.000 m2, in which a marked goldfish swam. Whoever catches the marked fish wins HUF 1 million. On the closing day of the jubilee SZIN, a lucky festival goer succeeded, and after three years, the precious fish was caught again.
