Organist Cameron Carpenter plays at National Theater Szeged on Tuesday, February 15.

Cameron Carpenter, American organist virtuoso and composer, will play at the National Theater of Szeged on Tuesday, starting from 7:30 p.m. 

Carpenter is acknowledged worldwide for his extraordinary talent and for bringing incredible freshness into the world of organ play. In 2009, he became the first organist to ever be nominated for a Grammy Award for his solo album, Revolutionary

According to The New York Times, “He has pushed the boundaries of organ technique to breathtaking heights, meshing virtuosity with musical intelligence.".

Carpenter tours worldwide with his one-of-a-kind, customized, full-scale portable organ sonically tailorable to any acoustic environment. The international touring organ (ITO) named Opus 8 was designed and commissioned by Carpenter and built by Marshall and Ogletree in Massachusetts. It took ten years and cost 2 million USD to build this instrument.

Carpenter's 2022 Hungary Tour includes three locations:

Pécs - Monday, February 14.

Szeged - Tuesday, February 15.

Budapest - Thursday, February 17.
