Szeged International Airshow starts in a week

There's only a week to go until one of the most spectacular Szeged events. This year's Szeged International Airshow will be held over the next weekend, September 13-14, 2024.

The Szeged International Airshow has a long history of presenting its audience with the best of the best, and this year will be no exception, according to the organizers. The event will feature numerous domestic and international pilots, world-famous shows, and formations.

As we wrote in a previous article, world-famous pilots and teams, including Aero Wasp, Aerobatic Yakers, Péter Besenyei, Pál Hársfalvi ACROFOX, Jet Marchetti S-211, Jurgis Kairys, Marek Choim, MI-2 Helicopter aerobatics, MIG-15 Formation, Retro Sky Team, Silver Chicken, DAC 1930 Club, The Victors, Fireworks/Kvant Laser, Gyula Vári, and many more will gather at Szeged Airport to participate in the event.

SZIA 2024 will await visitors with a bigger and more spectacular closing night show compared to last year's program. According to the organizers, already on Friday evening, a night program filled with impressive elements will amaze visitors.

As a new feature, the programs and visitor area of the airshow will relocate to the northwestern side of the airport, known as Maty-ér, to provide a more convenient, comfortable, and safe viewing experience for visitors to enjoy the shows, and the balloons of the 25th FAI Hot Air Balloon World Championship, the last days of which coincide with the Szeged International Airshow.

The Szeged International Airshow is organized by Szeged Transport Ltd. Tickets for SZIA can be purchased at www.tixa.hu. More info and regular updates will be available on the event's Facebook page.
