August 20 State Foundation Day celebrations start on Friday
The 2024 August 20 State Foundation Day celebration will be 5 days long in Szeged, lasting from Friday, August 16, to Tuesday, August 20. As always, the event welcomes visitors with an array of concerts, food, drink, and gift stalls.
The 16th Szeged Wind Orchestra Festival will be held during the event, on Saturday, while the official State Foundation Day celebrations will be on Tuesday, August 20.
Programs will be held at Széchenyi Square, except the fireworks on August 20, which will take place at the Huszár Mátyás Quay, near Belvárosi Bridge.
