May Day celebration at Újszeged Liget

The May Day celebration (Szegedi Majális) returns to the Újszeged Liget with concerts, family programs, food and drink vendors, and an amusement park on April 30 and May 1, 2024.

On Tuesday, May Day programs at the Újszeged Liget start at 14:30 and feature music performances. Wednesday (May 1) offers traditional and modern dance performances, and different concerts, with the first program starting at 10:00 in the morning. On this day, the last performance is at 21:30.

May Day programs will be held at Zápor Lake (Zápor-tó) too. Visitors here can enjoy various concerts and dance performances between 10:00 and 18:00 on May 1.

Note that May 1 is a public holiday in Hungary. Most shops and several service providers will be closed on this day.
