Ildikó Ale exhibition opened on the Day of Hungarian Culture in Szeged

A new exhibition of the Szeged-based painter, Ildikó Ale, opened at the Kőrösy József Economic Secondary Technical School on the Day of Hungarian Culture, January 22.

The new exhibition, titled Formálódó énünk — translates to Our Forming Self — presents a selection of Ildikó Ale's work from the last 20 years, mostly recent paintings. The world of poetry and music, as well as the expressiveness of emotions and human relationships, are consistently displayed in the subject choices of the artist.

The name of the exhibition refers to the title of a recent series of five works, which — through a colorful world of shapes in different versions, including spots and lines, slopes, stairs, curved, and even sharp shapes — abstractly tells about the processes affecting our individuality. The exhibit also features some of Ale's works that were inspired by poets and musicians.

The exhibition was opened by Dr. Gabriella Nádudvari, assistant professor of the Institute of Applied Health Sciences and Environmental Education of SZTE JGYPK, and Angéla Farkasné Székely, director of the Kőrösy Secondary School, with the participation of cellist Mirella Farkas.

Ildikó Ale has been a member of the fine arts department of the National Association of Hungarian Artists since 2003. She participates in several national and international group exhibitions with her works. She won the Szeged City Creator Award three times. Her works can be found in both institutional and private ownership.

The exhibition can be visited for free until February 2, 2024.

Opening hours:

Mon - Thu: 8:00 - 14:30

Fri: 8:00 - 13:00

More info about the artist can be found at aleatelier.hu

Please note that anyone can visit the exhibition, but the building can only be entered and exited through the concierge service.
