September 10, 2023. Two iconic pilots from Szeged, Vilmos and Árpád Rózsavölgyi died today during an accident at an airshow in Börgönd, near Székesfehérvár.

The father-son duo and their famous Trojan plane were staple participants of the Szeged International Airshow each year. Those who visited the airshow in Szeged yesterday could still see them flying with the Trojan.

Today's accident happened during an airshow at Börgönd Airport, near Székesfehérvár. The pilot duo could not finish a manouver during a demonstration flight and the plane crashed into a parking car. The exact cause of the accident is still unknown.

Vilmos and Árpád Rózsavölgyi lost their lives immediately. Three people — two adults and a child — with serious injuries were taken by rescue helicopters to hospitals in Budapest, while one child with lighter injuries was taken to the local hospital in Székesfehérvár.
