Huszár Mátyás Quay is closed to car traffic from the morning of March 1, due to the current hydrological situation.

The Lower-Tisza District Water Directorate announced yesterday, February 28, that due to the current hydrological situation and their water level forecast, it is necessary to close the Mátyás Huszár quay in Szeged.

A parking ban came into effect at 6 a.m. this morning, and the quay will be closed to traffic from 10 a.m., March 1. The duration of the closure depends on the precipitation activity of the following period and the withdrawal of the flood.

At the same time, the Directorate also announced that there is no need to order flood protection preparedness. On the Szeged section of the River Tisza, stage I of flood protection is implemented at a water level of 650 centimeters. The river starts to flood the Huszár Mátyás Quay at 560 centimeters.
