NYE celebration and fireworks return to Széchenyi Square

After many years, the New Year's Eve celebration returns to Széchenyi Square with concerts and a midnight firework on December 31, 2023.

According to the organizer, the Szeged Fair and Market Operator company (SZVP), vendors will start selling NYE props — except fireworks — at Széchenyi Square from December 27.

On December 31, programs start at 19:00 with a warm-up by DJ András Horváth, followed by a Folk Roses concert at 21:00.

3+2, the band known for establishing the so-called "wedding rock" genre in Hungary, will give a concert from 23:00. The fireworks will be held at the City Hall at midnight and the 3+2 concert continues at 00:15.

The last performer of the night, Útközband — known very well from all the major festivals in Szeged — starts playing at 01:00.

The organizers reserve the right to change the program at any time.
