Fiddler on the Roof musical rehearsals continue at Pick Szeged Zrt building

Press event with National Theater of Szeged announcing that Fiddler on the Roof musical rehearsals continue at Pick Szeged Zrt. building

Rehearsals of Fiddler on the Roof musical are held at Pick Szeged Zrt. building while the National Theater of Szeged remains closed due to high energy prices.

Károly Felföldi, CFO of Pick Szeged Zrt., explained that the theater contacted them in December with the news that they have to close for several weeks due to rising energy costs. Pick Szeged Zrt., as a member of the Bonafarm group, tries to support cultural life as much as possible. In the Pick Club, it was possible to find rooms that are suitable for the theater, Felföldi said.

László Barnák, general director of the National Theater of Szeged, emphasized that Pick Zrt. has been a supporter of the theater for a long time and that the company's help makes it possible for the troupe to continue rehearsing the play. The dance hall in the Pick club building is an excellent venue for actors, and sometimes more than fifty people can rehearse here. - said the director.

The creators will bring the musical to the stage with a huge crew and grandiose visuals based on the set and costume designs of Anna Varsányi, the musical direction of Hermann Szabolcs, and the choreography of Anita Hajdu. According to Barnák, who is directing the Fiddler on the Roof musical, a wonderful serenity and joie de vivre flow from the music and the story of the piece, exploring the relationship between parent and child, individual and community, and also the way we react to other people's decisions.

After the winter closure, the National Theater of Szeged will reopen at the beginning of March. The Fiddler on the Roof musical will premiere on March 17.
