Szeged Belvárosi Bridge, Stefánia, and Quay to be closed on Friday due to Prime Minister's visit
UPDATE No.2.: The ceremony has been cancelled. There will be no road closures (at least the ones mentioned in this article) on Friday.
UPDATE: According to an announcement by Bertalan Havasi, press secretary to Viktor Orbán, the Prime Minister will not visit Szeged on Friday (Source: MTI). The road closures are not confirmed yet.
Belvárosi Bridge (Belvárosi híd), Stefánia, and the Huszár Mátyás Quay will be closed on Friday, September 9, due to Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's visit to Szeged.
The PM will attend the swearing-in ceremony of 500 border guards. Some parts of the area will already be closed on Thursday. According to the Facebook announcement of local representative András Avramov, the following areas will be fully closed:
The Huszár Mátyás Quay will be completely closed from noon on Thursday until at least 3 p.m. on Friday. All kinds of traffic will be banned, including pedestrians.
On Friday, Belvárosi Bridge will be completely closed from 6 a.m. until at least 2 p.m. All kinds of traffic will be banned, including pedestrians.
The section of Dózsa Street between Vár Street and Arany János Street will be fully closed on Friday, from 6 a.m. until at least 2 p.m.
On Friday, Roosevelt Square and practically all of Stefánia and Deák Ferenc Street will be closed from 5 a.m. until at least 3 p.m.
