International Wader Study Group Annual Conference in Szeged
The International Wader Study Group Annual Conference in 2022 will be held in Szeged, between September 22-25.
International Wader Study Group (IWSG) is an organization that brings together everyone who has a passion for waders (shorebirds), the habitats they use and their conservation. Members of IWSG include research scientists, citizen scientists, and conservation practitioners from all over the world.
IWSG members study waders worldwide and take part in various projects ranging from local ringing and counting studies to international cooperative work. Their research helps to understand the lives of shorebirds and the potential threats to them.
To disseminate information on waders, exchange ideas, and facilitate cooperation, IWSG holds an annual conference in a different country each year. This year, the annual conference will be held in Szeged, at IH Event Center (IH Rendezvényközpont). Presentations, workshops, the poster session, and other scientific programs will be on Friday and Saturday, while excursions will be on Sunday.
