Szeged Dragon Boat Race and SUP competition on September 3

The Dragon Boat Race, organized by the Szeged Dragon Boat Association, returns to the River Tisza and the International Tisza Fish Festival - this year accompanied by a SUP competition.

On Saturday, September 3, dragon boats and SUP boards will appear in the morning at Újszeged Partfürdő to compete on different distances.

The SUP competition will have women's and men's heats, on 200 and 8000 meters. 4-person SUP teams can compete on 200 meters.

Dragon boat teams, consisting of 16-20 oarsmen + 1 drummer + 1 helmsman, will compete on 200, 2000, and 8000 meters.

Short-distance tracks will be in front of Partfürdő, while on 8000 meters, competitors will have to paddle up to the Maros estuary, then back down to the flood memorial and from there back to Partfürdő. Short-distance heats are scheduled in the morning, starting from 9 a.m. 8000-meter competitions will be in the afternoon.
