Szeged confectioner wins the 2022 Csongrád-Csanád County cake competition
László Gyuris, master confectioner of the Virág Confectionery in Szeged, won the competition announced by the Csongrád-Csanád County Government. The task was to present a new, creative concept, in which the typical fruits, vegetables, and spices of the region play a major role.
The ingredients of the award-winning cake made by László Gyuris include sweet potato grown in the Ásotthalom area, sour cherry from Szentes, pumpkin seed, hazelnut, and pumpkin, as well as milk produced in large quantities in the county. The winning creation is called "Csanád Vezér Csemegéje", which translates approximately to Leader Csanád's Delicacy.
