Szeged Contemporary Dance Company performs Carmina Burana in New York
Szeged Contemporary Dance Company performs a U.S. premiere of Carmina Burana at the Ailey Studios in New York on Saturday and Sunday, November 5-6.
The Carmina Burana, one of the most well-known pieces of the Szeged Contemporary Dance Company, has been on the repertoire for 21 years. Choreographer Tamás Juronics and director András Pataki captured the common fears and joys of an imaginary barbarian community in a powerful dance-theater adaptation. The piece guides the audience through the mysterious rituals of the barbarian community fighting until its very last breath for survival and humanity.
The New York performances, in cooperation with the Liszt Institute New York, are free of charge but registration is required.
