Thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology opens engineering office in Szeged

Thyssenkrupp Automotive Technology Hungary Kft. is opening an engineering office developing electromechanical steering systems in Szeged, Dóra Tagai, the company's HR manager, announced on Wednesday, October 26.

At the ceremonial opening of the unit, the specialist said that 1,200 engineers work in the company's electrical and electronic development center in Budapest and Veszprém, and they will be joined by the employees of the Szeged unit. The company wants to hire hundreds of engineers over the next three years. This proves that Thyssenkrupp is a strategic investor with long-term goals in Hungary, the HR manager said.

Sándor Nagy, deputy mayor for urban development, emphasized that Szeged has become one of the centers of the domestic IT industry, thanks to the high-quality IT training at the university. The city tries to provide an environment where highly qualified professionals are happy to stay even after obtaining their diplomas. About three thousand software developers work in Szeged, and there is close professional cooperation between domestic and international companies.
