The Binder study platform, created by a Hungarian trio and their UK-based startup, helps students stay productive while studying at home.

Founders András Geiszl, Bálint Jakabos and Márton Kosdi-Kovács know how hard it can be to stay motivated while studying alone at home. Their idea is that seeing each other studying or working will boost the students' productivity.

"... we try to find a solution to two problems: that students who study at home often feel lonely, and that they postpone their tasks over and over again", Márton Kosdi-Kovács told Forbes Hungary.

On Bindr, students from all over the world can join virtual study rooms with other learners who are at home. Cameras are on, but microphones are turned off - so that the participants don't disturb each other. Students can introduce themselves and communicate with each other using the chat.

According to the founders, the platform can create a community and a sense of belonging somewhere. Students can meet new people and support each other to reach goals.

Bindr is gaining more and more popularity, with students joining the virtual study rooms now from all around the world.
