Tisza Fish Cooking Festival with Szeged Fishing and Hunting Day
The Tisza Fish Cooking Festival, together with the Szeged Fishing and Hunting Day will be held on Saturday, September 7, at the Újszeged Partfürdő. In addition to the stage programs, there will be a hunting dog show and a catfishing competition, among others.
Although the Szeged Fish Festival is canceled, and even the fish festival that would have replaced it was canceled, the annual fish cooking gathering and competition at Partfürdő will still be held. This event has traditionally been held every year at the same time as the Szeged Fish Festival. Families, groups of friends, and even company teams come together to cook and compete, subject to advance registration.
On September 7, the National Hungarian Hunting Chamber of Csongrád-Csanád County, the Federation of Fishing Associations of Csongrád County, in cooperation with the Partfürdő Camping in Újszeged, located on the left bank of the Tisza River, will host the biggest meeting of hunters and anglers of the county, the organizers announced.
The common goal of the organizers is to create a series of programs that will provide an opportunity to promote fishing and hunting in a waterfront environment, to learn new skills, and to relax with family and friends. In addition to the fishing and hunting activities, the Tisza Fish Cooking Festival will also be part of the program. Admission to the event is free, and all our guests - whether anglers, hunters, or just interested visitors – can learn something new about their passion with the help of experts, reads the announcement.
Please note that this is not the usual food festival, participating groups do not cook for sale.
Important: there is a ban on fires throughout the country. Fires can only be lit in the Partfürdő at the designated areas and with prior reservation.
