Next week, Coursera CEO Jeff Maggioncalda visits Szeged to sign the Coursera for SZTE Lighthouse 2.0 agreement at the University of Szeged on Monday, January 23.

The cooperation between the University of Szeged and the world's leading online education platform began in the spring of 2020 when Coursera supported SZTE's transition to online education due to the COVID epidemic with free licenses.

In the past three years, SZTE students, teachers, and staff had access to the platform with the help of 2,500 licenses. From 2023, the cooperation between Coursera and the Univesity of Szeged reaches the next level as Coursera will be available to everyone at the same time due to the increase in the number of licenses. This means that in the future curriculum materials from the world's best universities and leading companies can be incorporated into SZTE courses without restrictions.

Coursera is entering into this kind of comprehensive cooperation for the first time in Europe.

At the media event, Jeff Maggioncalda, CEO of Coursera, will give a presentation about the details of the cooperation with SZTE, as well as the global trends in the development of higher education and the characteristics of changes in the labor market.
