Budapest International Documentary Festival films screening in Szeged

The 8th Budapest International Documentary Festival awaits moviegoers and documentary fans in 2022 between January 22-30. The newest, internationally acclaimed documentaries will screen in Budapest and 10 major Hungarian cities.

The theme of 2022 is “brave movies”.

During BIDF, 200 screenings of almost 50 films will be on in Budapest (Cinema City Mammut) and 10 major cities Hungary-wide.

In Szeged, festival films will be screened between January 26-29, at Belvárosi Mozi.


January 26:

4:30 pm - Inside The Red Brick Wall


January 27:

4:30 pm - Children of the Mist

6:15 pm - Cow


January 28:

4:30 pm - Anny

6:15 pm - Ascension


January 29:

4:30 pm - The Storkman

6:15 pm - Flee


BIDF is a competition festival for the best documentaries from all over the world. The jury consists of leading international and Hungarian artists and creators. 

All films at the festival will be screened in their original language, with English and Hungarian subtitles.
