Hollywood star chef and owner of the Spago restaurant chain, Wolfgang Puck, has been in charge of the post-gala reception since 1995 with his professional catering team. This year Chef Puck decided to take his Hungarian chef to the gala.
On Hollywood's biggest event more than 100 chefs work in an approximately 800 sqm kitchen to prepare a total of 15,000 servings of food. Out of the 100 different creations, four were Hungarian dishes.
Chef Szántó was working in the function room throughout the evening, preparing and serving some of the most well-known Hungarian dishes. The first movie star to come up to his display counter was Samuel L. Jackson, who enjoyed a perfectly prepared Hunters' stew.
