2022 summer camps for preschoolers in Szeged: full list of SzegedSchool camps

SzegedSchool progressive preschool offers exciting, thematic summer camps in Szeged for small children, from the end of May until the middle of August 2022.

Hungarian and non-Hungarian speakers are all welcome. Two camps will focus heavily on speaking Hungarian, see notes below.

Preschool Program for newcomers

• May 30 - June 10: Flying Bees. For children aged 2,5 and up. Play days and preparation for preschool, daily between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. Facebook event link.

June camps

• June 13 - 17: Save the Goats. STEM challenge (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) with lots of English language. Facebook event link.

• June 20 - 24: Cheerful Pirates' Week. Pirates, adventure, treasure hunt, team games, crafts, movement games, and obstacle courses. Facebook event link.

• June 27 - July 1: Dancing Feet - a glimpse into the world of dance styles. Movement development, folk dance, modern dance, ballet, handicrafts, folk games, and dance learning. Facebook event link.

July camps

• July 4 - 8: Speech Therapy Camp. NOTE: heavy focus on speaking Hungarian. Helps to correct articulation errors, develop clear speech and vocabulary, and to practice the grammatical system of the Hungarian language, in a playful way, adapted to the given age group. Facebook event link.

• July 11 - 15: Smart Bunny Yoga Camp. Brain Gym, kids yoga, movement development, smart gymnastics, handicrafts, cross movements, rhymes, movement therapy. Facebook event link.

• July 18 - 22: Journey into the World of Vikings. NOTE: heavy focus on speaking Hungarian. Vikings, narrative poetry for kids, vocabulary development, creation. Facebook event link.

• July 25 - 29: Wonderful Music and Nature. Music, sounds of nature, rhymes, song games, development of musical skills, acoustic stimuli, fine motor skills, spatial orientation, social connections, and improvisational skills. Facebook event link.

August camps

• August 1 - 5: Treasure Hunt Camp. Positive psychology, social relationships, coping strategies, experiential education. Facebook event link.

• August 8 - 12: Traditional Folk Dances and Games. Fairy tales, rhymes, folk games, rhythm development, hearing development, movement coordination development, music, play, and folk dance. Facebook event link.

• August 15 - 19: Some Drama, Lots of Play. Drama, puppetry, movement games, teamwork, fun, fairy tales, emotions, dramatization, fantasy world. Facebook event link.

Preschool summer visit

SzegedSchool also offers the possibility of a summer visit to the preschool. This way, children can get to know the life at SzegedSchool, and also take part in the summer camps. For the summer visitor option, the minimum registration period is one month.
